I’m from New York City, where rents are outrageous and house prices haven’t dropped as much as in other parts of the country. Do you think good investment ideas can be found in NYC or do you think I should look elsewhere like Michigan or Las Vegas? The biggest piece of evidence I present is the Case-Shiller house price index. Just look at the drop in Vegas vs. NYC!!

I would consider holding off on Manhattan as an investment unless you really think prices will go up. California, Nevada, and other areas are a much better bet.
